Glamego Nov 2017 – subscription box review

Hello everybody!! Hope you are having a great day.

Today I am going to review the Glamego beauty subscription box. I received the November box on Monday, but I wanted to try all the products before sharing with you my opinion about the products.

In case you do not know about Glamego then here is a small info :

This is a Indian monthly subscription beauty box where you get 4 beauty products per month. If you are interested to know in detail you can visit their website

According to their website, this is India’s leading beauty subscription box. This claim may be true because this is currently the cheapest option available for any beauty subscription box in India. Compared to the MRP of the products, you will pay almost half the total price if you buy the box along with some coupons and offers.

When you go to their website, first step is to create your own beauty profile. You will answer questions like – your skin color, skin type, hair type, makeup preference etc. Next you select a subscription plan – 1 month box will cost INR 399, 3 months subscription will cost total INR 987 (Rs 329 per box), 6 month subscription will cost total INR 1794 (Rs 299 per box), finally 12 months subscription will cost total INR 3468 (Rs 289 per box). You will get combination of full size and deluxe samples of 4 products every month.

I subscribed to Glamego for 6 months. This month they are having theme Bollywood and so the box looks really cool and the colors make it very attractive.

These are the 4 products I received this month :

  1. Kronocare Polish the Blemish Face Scrub (INR 460 for 50g)
  2. Lass Naturals Cucumber Mint Face Freshener & Toner (INR 150 for 100ml)
  3. BEUfly Paris Lipcolor – 4 Choco Mousse (INR 400 for 3.8g)
  4. Bella Voste The Perfect Pout Matte Finish Lipstick – 15 Cinderella (INR 549)

Kronocare Polish the Blemish Face Scrub :

The product is free of sulphates, mineral oil, silicone, paraben and fragrance. It contains essential oils like ylang ylang, lavender and neroli which are good for your skin.

The ingredients and other details are mentioned at the back of the tub.

The packaging of this tub has some major issues. The plastic is not quite sturdy because the lid of my tub had a thin crack when I received it. Also there is no partition between the lid and the actual product. So in case you face a similar situation where the lid is cracked or you have too much on the lid, the product may spill out. So it is not reliable for travel purpose.

The product is white and has a runny liquid like consistency with tiny exfoliating particles. It does a good job of exfoliating your skin and gives you a smooth feeling. But I expected it to be more moisturizing since it contains essential oils. I feel it is more beneficial for combination to oily skin beauties. In winter I have dry skin and I found my skin feeling quite dry after I used it. So I will be saving it for summer months and use it then.

Another thing which I do not like about this product is the smell. It has a strong smell of something herbal, I am not sure what it is. Though it does not last long, once you lather up the product the smell goes away. But in case you are sensitive to strong smell, you will not like it at all.

It is a decent product which does its job of exfoliating your face, I dont hate it but there is nothing special about it as well.

Lass Naturals Cucumber Mint Face Freshener & Toner :

This toner has lot of good ingredients like rose water, aloe vera, cucumber water, green tea extract, holy basil, mint extract and vitamin E.

The bottle is made of plastic which is quite sturdy unlike the scrub I mentioned above. This one is quite travel friendly. The pump makes it hygienic and easy to use.

The ingredients and other details are mentioned at the back of the bottle.

The toner is a transparent liquid with a slight green tint to it. I feel I am not the right person to review this product. Actually any type of product which has mint in it be it face wash, scrub, toner or anything my skin and eyes burn a lot and I do not like the feeling at all. But still I wanted to try it in order to give you my thoughts. My skin really burnt and my eyes started watering. So I immediately washed it off.

If you do not have a problem with mint like me, you may like it. The ingredients are all very good for a toner. Try for yourself and let me know if you liked it / you also faced the burning sensation like me.

Another point I wanted to mention, this product is also good for summers and not winter. My skin felt really tacky and there was no trace of moisturizer. So if you have combination to oily skin save it for summer. In case you have dry skin you will need a very good moisturizer after you apply this toner.

Bella Voste The Perfect Pout Matte Finish Lipstick – 15 Cinderella :

This is the product I absolutely loved in this month’s Glamego box. I am a huge lipstick lover and this lipstick is absolutely beautiful.

The packaging looks classy with black and gold. The color of the lipstick is any girl’s favorite color – pink. It is a very pretty fuchsia kind of pink. The color will suit any skin tone perfectly.

The shade name is also quite fancy, pink lipstick called Cinderella – it screams girly 😀

Though it says matte lipstick but the finish as you can see in my swatch is semi matte and not completely matte. The lipstick does transfer and will need touch up after meals. But it is quite comfortable to wear everyday.

The lipstick is decently pigmented, if you apply 2 layers it gives you complete opaque color uniformly.

BeUfly Paris Lipcolor – 4 Choco Mousse :

This is another lipstick I received this month. They mentioned 2 types of lip trends this month – retro and trendy. The pink Bella Voste one is the trendy one and this is the retro color.

The packaging of both lipsticks are almost same. Bella Voste one has sharp edges while this one is rounded at the corners. Both have the black and gold color scheme.

This color is out of my comfort zone to be frank with you. I wear dark colors like berry red, burgundy, dark maroon. But I have never tried such a dark brown shade. I usually go for the soft brown or nude type of colors in the brown family.

But its good that I can try a different color which I would not have bought myself. Its a color totally ideal for this time of the year.

The only complain I have with this product is the pigmentation. I know such dark colors are often patchy and need more swipes to turn opaque. But this one you really need 4 to 5 swipes at least in order to get a uniformly opaque application.

The texture is semi matte and slightly more drying on the lips compared to the Bella Voste lipstick.

I hope you enjoyed this post and my review helped you in some way.

If I have to compare the 2 beauty subscription boxes – Santas Box and Glamego box for this month, I loved the Santas Box more.

So if you want to subscribe to only one beauty box you can opt for the Santas box. If you want to try a more budget friendly option you can give Glamego a try.

Let me know in the comment section if you have subscribed to these beauty boxes and what are your opinions on the products your received.
